Abstract

The reviewed book, based on the results of numerous sociological surveys, analyzes various aspects of the life activities of young Russians (including trust in social institutions and deviant behavior) over the past decade. Special attention is paid to the characteristics of mass consciousness of young people. Contrary to the perception that young people are the most protesting social group, the authors argue that young people in Russia are not “run-away”, but also not “rebellious”. In view of the great importance of youth as a social group, the recipients of the monograph by M.K. Gorshkov and F.E. Sheregi are not only sociologists and representatives of other humanities, but also actors in youth politics.
