Abstract

The article investigates trends in institutionalization of military sociology in the USSR and the Russian Federation as reflected in issues of Sociologicheskie Issledovanija (Sociological Studies) journal between 1974 and 2013. In total, 163 articles devoted to a wide range of military sociology issues were published within the period. The process of institutionalization of military sociology is divided into decades and publications that reflect it are arranged accordingly. Author draws a conclusion about the impact Sociologicheskie Issledovanija journal has had on institutionalization of military sociology in Russia.
