Abstract

The paper analyses соntemporary interethnic situation in Tuva. Results of 2010 survey among the population of the Republic and an 2013 expert poll show a rather quiet interethnic climate in the region, while, at the same time, state presence of latent tensions in relations among two basic ethnoi – Tuvans and Russians. It was also found out that a set of socio-economic promblems affects negatively relationships of ethnoi inhabiting the republic, overall tolerance level and inter-ethnic stereotypes dynamics.
