Abstract

The problems of Healthy Lifestyle formation and its maintenance among youth people and also social representation about Healthy Lifestyle are actively discussed in sociological, psychological, pedagogical, socio-psychological researches. The results of a certain number of past decades empirical researches show very contradictory dynamics: on the one hand, there is an increasing health importance as an instrumental value, on the other, health saving activity has selective character and moreover notions of different social groups about the Healthy Lifestyle and health saving methods vary considerably.

The research which was made by the authors in twelve Universities in the South of Russia and four Federal Universities included questions about study of social representations of health, various models of students' behavior. Respondents also assessed possibility of education environment to ensure the health saving. On the whole, this allowed identifying a number of paradoxes which are disclosed in this article.
