Abstract

The peer-reviewed monograph “Lobbying: a search for institutionality” by S.L. Dimans and V.F. Levicheva is a comprehensive analysis of one of the most controversial phenomena of social life – lobbying. S.L. Dimans and V.F. Levicheva indicate problematic field of research, differentiating interest groups according to the level of influence on the authorities, explore institutional practices of lobbying, problems and methods of legal regulation of lobbying for private, corporate and public interests. The book pays special attention to international experience in the legal regulation of lobbying, to Russian lobbying market and prospects for its regulation. In general, the monograph under review reveals new facets of recent political and legal life setting up sociologists, economists, lawyers and legislators to ponder about how the modern state works.
