Abstract

Interview with Sociological Studies Editor -in-Chief Professor G.A. Kliucharev touches upon some key issues of editorial policies, as well as problems of engagements with the authors, of outlook for the journal development, etc. Themes of methodology and methods were discussed, ranging from Big Data to social ontology. Interdisciplinarity, so the interviewee, is a basic attribute of contemporary social science research. Also the issue of promising lines for Russian sociology is debated, along with the crucial knots of sociologists’ education, including postgraduate and postdoctoral one – within the framework of Lifelong learning and competencies of graduate sociologists.
