Abstract

The article analyzes feasible options for the traditional forms of farming transformation in connection with the objective fact of the changing rural (in particular, farmer) generations in new Russia. Farming is taken not only as an agrarian economic practice, but also as a socio-economic institution in its historical evolution. The article offers a specific form of legislative consolidation of the farming concept, which directly indicates its transitive socio-cultural mission. An analytical assessment of the potential for generational impact of the farming phenomenon is proposed. The main contours of the new farming world are outlined, that is, the forms and methods of the presence on the earth of the next generation rural owners. The conclusion is argued for that the current farming “society” has accumulated by now such a potential for change which has already been tested demonstrating its ability to construct an arsenal of various, including promising, future-oriented, activity models, forms and habits.
